About
I’m Kapil Arambam and this is my personal blog. And I love to call it In Pursuit of Freedom.
My blog is built on this simple foundation of antiestablishmentarinism and contrarianism. I’m a sucker for anything unusual, extraordinary, uncommon and original. And this is, you will see, clearly reflected in the choice of content and style on this blog.
I write. I design. And I blog.

Inspiration
- Areas of interest: Critical theory, media and conflict resolution, media effects, social media influence
- Design area: Design thinking, communication design, graphic design, typography, minimalism, instructional design
Blog Labels
You can read, scroll, surf, browse, and check out essays, rants, designs and photography here -- again, a majority of which are based on the ABC concept as noted above. I have categorised the posts and updates into several heads with relevant pointers as below:
- Prose: essays, critical analysis, rants and rambles, political points, literature of conflict, media effects
- Poetry: offbeat, counterculture, beat, translations, existentialism
- Thoughts: anti-political, antiestablishmentarianism, individualism, utopia, anarchism, absurdities
- Photography: nature, culture, everyday things and so on
- Design: graphic design, typography, minimalism, instructional design, web graphics, manipulation, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign creations, design thinking, communication design
As you will see, I use three generic labels for the posts: (i) prose, (ii) poetry, and (iii) graphics, which are separated and categorised year-wise. This, I thought, will be convenient for filtering the contents. So, that's a few things about my blog.
Conclusion
I divide my time between Imphal and Bangalore. Professionally, I’m an assistant professor. I teach mass communication and visual communication to undergrads. Media studies and design are my things!
