Star Obsessions
The ‘rock’ in rock and roll does not mean a rock per se. If we go by rock and roll historian, ‘rock’ implies a double entendre, which was first developed by the Afro-Americans or their obsession to ‘move gently to and fro or from side to side’. Nevertheless, if we translate it into Meiteilon, rock star would mean a ‘nōngi thawänmichäk’. But here, we are only partially inspired by Che Guevara’s military cap, Mobi’s We are all Made of Star, RATM’s foot drum symbol and Converse All Star. To hell with politics. At the end of thee day, we are al made of stars.
