Democracy in Full Frontal Nudity

What has left of democracy in Manipur, a province nestled hopelessly in one of the largest democracies of the world, India, is its electoral politics. Otherwise, the supposedly most logical form of governance, known by the name of democracy, is just an eye-wash; and fortunately for the Union, it helps in such a great way to boast in front of the world that the largest democracy in the world exist in this part of the world, no matter what. However, if we go by history, nothing, including even the greatest empire has ever remained immortal. In the light of this realisation and the upcoming electoral circus of the great Indian nation in the state of Manipur, where the prestigious general election is scheduled to be held in Feb 2017, here is a collection of what an election is really about in a democracy.
