Art for Fart’s Sake

Art for art’s sake is quite a luxury only a few people can afford to indulge in. If there has to be a reason behind this statement, it would only boil down to preachiness and self-righteousness. We only know there are other functional roles of this amazing non-natural creation. George Orwell put it succinctly: ‘When you are on a sinking ship, your thoughts will be about sinking ships.’ For us, being political is the only way through which we can reach the shore. Still, we cannot be confined to a few corners for the sake of new ideas and fresh thinking lines; ironical it is but then it is the reality. This thought resulted in the creation of this post, with images and amateur designs mostly influenced by a few works of hardcore artists showcased in some popular art galleries in New Delhi.
