Show me ’round the city
For long I’ve been trying to flee
I’ve been ’round eight years here
And I don’t know what’s where
And what’s how, and what’s when
This is quite an awkward moment

Show me ’round the city
For long I’ve been trying to flee
And I don’t know where I should roam
I have lost the way to home
And my soul is burning
And reminding me daily the city is screaming

Show me ’round the city
For long I’ve been trying to flee
Let me find one logical reason
Let me take some caution
—Homelessness has become a motif
And disbelief my greatest belief

Show me ’round the city
For long I’ve been trying to flee
But I remember the ghosts of the past
And when home’s the destination the first and last
It’s quite tragic than a forbidden accident
Like a doctor diagnosing an unknown ailment

Show me ’round the city
For long I’ve been trying to flee
I’m no doctor; I know not what disease it is
But I do pay my tax; the meals I never miss
The laws I never break; and never have I a plan vicious
Tonight all the road should lead to the path of happiness
